On last night’s harrowing episode of “The Walking Dead,” the prison survivors learned that an aggressive flu virus is rapidly spreading among them. And thanks to the fast and fatal symptoms of the virus, a single zombie attacked and turned several of the survivors while they slept.
At the end, Tyreese (Chad Coleman) discovered that someone had burned the infected bodies of girlfriend, Karen (Melissa Ponzio) and David (Brandon Carroll), possibly while they were still alive. However, Tyreese may have even more to lose in next Sunday’s episode.
In the first preview clip from episode 3, Hershel (Scott Wilson) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) watch helplessly as Tyreese’s sister, Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) displays symptoms of the illness. And when Sasha goes for help, we see just how hopeless the situation has become for the infected.
During the second preview scene, Tyreese is present when Bob (Lawrence Gilliard, Jr.), Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) hear something astonishing. But their road trip is soon derailed by a massive herd of zombies.
