Kings of Horror #23: Thinner (1996)

Every day throughout the month of October, William “Bibbs” Bibbiani from The B-Movies Podcast and Ryan Turek from Shock Till You Drop are reviewing a different theatrically-released horror movie based on the works of Stephen King. Day 23 is here and it’s bringing Thinner with it, directed by Fright Night‘s Tom Holland and written by Stephen King’s alter ego Richard Bachman (The Running Man). It stars Robocop 3‘s Robert John Burke as an overweight lawyer cursed to rapid weight loss by a gypsy shaman played by Michael Constantine (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), who turns to a gun-toting mob enforcer played by Joe Mantegna (House of Games) to exact a little vengeance of his own.

Yup, it’s another one of the weird ones. Bibbs and Ryan will tell you if Thinner is FDA-approved on today’s all-new Kings of Horror.

Come back every single day in October as Bibbs and Ryan review another theatrically-released film based on the acclaimed Stephen King’s novels, short stories and original screenplays on Kings of Horror! Follow your hosts on Twitter at @WilliamBibbiani@_RyanTurek and @STYDNews.
