What’s ahead for horror?  And what does it take these days for some of the brightest — and clearly, most twisted — minds in the industry to succeed with frightening fare in today’s moviemaking climate?

More found footage films?  More sequels to proven winners?  Maybe some more studio support?

That’s what the experts will answer Tues., Oct. 15 in Los Angeles — but if you can’t be at the Art, Business and Future of Genre Film panel at the 2013 Screamfest Film Festival, don’t worry.  Just settle in to CraveOnline for the evening as we bring you a live stream of the panel right here!

Moderated by Variety’s senior film critic Peter DeBruge, expect plenty of insight from genre veterans on the future of horror, thriller and action filmmaking.  You can also live chat during the panel via that chat window above.

Some of the confirmed panelists include:

He is currently overseeing a slate of projects that includes Robert Rodriguez’s live-action remake of Ralph Bakshi & Frank Frazetta’s Fire and Ice, screenwriter Dan Gilroy’s directorial debut Nightcrawler starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and a miniseries based on the life of Peter the Great.
