Apparently George Lucas started work on Star Wars Episode VII well before he sold LucasFilm to Disney.
According to an interview with Lucas' son Jett, published on Crave's ComingSoon website, his father began research and writing about a year before the sale. The younger Lucas says he knows what's going to happen in the next trilogy and is happy with what is planned.
Star Wars Episode VII is set for release in 2015.
