Alicia Witt, Michael Rapaport & Edi Gathegi Invade ‘Justified’ Season 5

Shortly after the death of Elmore Leonard, the creative team behind “Justified” announced that the Crowe family from Leonard’s novels will be showing up on the new season of “Justified.” Now we can put a few faces to those names.

TVLine was first to report that former “Prison Break” costar Michael Rapaport has signed on to play the Crowe family patriarch, Dale Crowe. Dale owns and operates the Crowe family gator farm in Florida; which also serves as a front for the family’s illegal activities. Dale was actually mentioned in the first season of “Justified” by Dewey Crowe (Damon Herriman), who confirmed their family relationship.

Rapaport was recently released from “The Millers” on CBS and his prior credits include “The Mob Doctor,” “My Name Is Earl” and “Boston Public.”
According to Deadline former “Friday Night Lights” actress Alicia Witt will play Dale’s daughter, Wendy Crowe. Wendy is the public face of the Crowe family and will reportedly enjoy outmaneuvering Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) on behalf of her father. Witt has previously appeared on “The Sopranos,” “Person of Interest,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “The Mentalist.”

X-Men: First Class co-star Edi Gathegi is also joining the “Justified” Season 4 cast on a recurring basis as Jean Baptiste, a former member of Haitian secret police turned criminal enforcer for the Crowe family. Gathegi’s credits include “House,” “Beauty & The Beast,” “Red Widow” and Twilight.

“Justified” Season 4 will premiere in January 2014 on FX.
