Last Friday on Cinemax’s “Strike Back,” Section 20 learned that The Real IRA and Al-Zuhari are planning an imminent terrorist attack. And because of Michael Stonebridge’s (Philip Winchester) ongoing health problems, the IRA got away with a truckload of weapons.
Section 20 didn’t walk away from the encounter empty handed. They captured Mairead McKenna (Catherine Walker), the woman who killed their former commanding officer, Rachel Dalton (Rhona Mitra). However, McKenna escaped during a brazen assault on Section 20 at the airport; which left Dalton’s replacement, Lt. Colonel Philip Locke (Robson Green) as a prisoner of McKenna.
In the first preview clip from tonight’s episode, Locke fights back when he’s forced to dig his own grave. And just because the IRA and Al-Zuhari are working together doesn’t mean that the two sides get along…
And in our exclusive preview scene of the week, Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) and Stonebridge try a little vehicular interrogation of a prisoner with his own car as they attempt to track down Locke’s location.
Cinemax’s synopsis for the episode also offers a few hints.
“Section 20 is torn between devoting their resources to the mission or saving one of their own. Stonebridge’s health continues to affect him in the field. Al-Zuhari’s network moves forward quickly, striking close. Kamali explains why yet another threat is emerging.”
“Strike Back” Season 3 continues tonight at 10pm on Cinemax!
