People of Northampton, prepare to not get much sleep tonight: there’s a mysterious, terrifying clown stalking your city.
The “Northampton Clown”, as it has been branded, has been photographed prowling the streets of the city in full make-up, carrying a handful of balloons with him/her/it.
A Facebook page has been set up in order to track down the man behind the white face make-up, with ‘Spot Northampton’s Clown‘ having garnered over 27,000 Facebook likes. A particularly creepy encounter posted on the page describes how the Northampton Clown allegedly knocked on someone’s door and offered to paint their window sills “despite having no painting equipment”. Shudder.
