Top 10 Lego Creations We Could Never Do Ourselves

You either played with ’em, envied the kids who did; or, at the very least, stepped on ’em when your siblings left them nestled in the living room rug.  Regardless, Legos likely played an important part in your childhood.  If you could dream it, you could build it.

And there were endless possibilities…a Lego house, a castle, even a playpen for your hamster.  As adults, most of us have traded in our Legos for a 9-5, but luckily, there are still people out there keeping the Lego dream alive.

So in honor of the new Lego Mindstorms EV3 kit (which just hit store shelves Sept. 1), check out these 10 creations that you and I could only dream of in-between our Flintstones push-pops and getting home before the streetlights came on.

 

If you have a party and someone accidentally puts their head through a wall, at this house, it’s OK!  You can always rebuild before mom and dad get home.  This amazing TWO-STORY full-size home also boasts a working toilet — although it’s tough to imagine the butt imprint that a Lego toilet would leave.  And can a Lego bed possibly be is as comfortable as it looks?

If it were up to me, this work by Lego genius Nathan Sawaya would be on my front lawn.  Nothing welcomes guests quite like a life-size dinosaur.

 

My DSi is bigger than your DSi…AND it’s made of 51,000 Legos.  Top that, losers…

 

Ever since childhood, I’ve wanted to slap the grin off of that smug dog’s face — and now, Lego has given me a 3D slapper-tunity.  Watch out, Rover!
