Last season on “Arrow,” Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) took to the streets of Starling City as a costumed vigilante determined to save his city.
He failed.
An experimental Earthquake device was used to devastate the Glades and in the destruction, Oliver’s best friend, Tommy (Colin Donnell) was killed.
The CW has released a new promo trailer for “Arrow” Season 2 that drops a few hints about the new season, including some Arrow-inspired copycats who don’t share Oliver’s newfound restraint. Admittedly, parts of this trailer are on the cheesy side, as the cast solemnly looks to the camera while reciting what they lost and Amell gets a little twitchy on us.
But most of it is pretty cool and we do get a better look at Caity Lotz as Black Canary, Oliver’s new partner..
In other “Arrow” news, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the future Flash, Barry Allen’s debut episode on “Arrow” will begin filming on September 30. That means that the “Arrow” creative team has less than a month to finalize casting on the man who may potentially headline “The Flash” spinoff series next season on the CW.
“Arrow” returns to the CW on Wednesday, October 9.
