Michael O’Neill & Kathleen Robertson Join ‘Bates Motel’ Season 2

Last season on “Bates Motel,” the popular high school teacher, Miss Watson (Keegan Connor Tracy) was murdered and the implication was that she may have been killed by Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore).

According to TVLine, Michael O’Neill will be appearing in “Bates Motel” Season 2 as Miss Watson’s father, Nick. And Nick is described as “a smart and potentially ruthless charmer who is mourning the grisly death of his daughter and [he] sets out to exact revenge on the perp responsible.”

O’Neill’s previous TV credits include “Rectify,” “24,” “NCIS,” “The Unit” and “Grey’s Anatomy.

TVLine is also reporting that former “Boss” costar, Kathleen Robertson is also joining “Bates Motel” as Jodi, a businesswoman who is described as “a natural born leader who gets what she wants — personally and professionally — and she’s not afraid to use her arsenal of brains, charm and creativity to make things happen.” That probably means that Jodi will be at odds with Norman’s mother, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga).

Robertson has appeared in “Flashpoint,” “CSI: Miami,” “Rookie Blue” and she had a long stint on the original “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

Other new additions to the “Bates Motel” cast include Michael Vartan as Norma’s new love interest, George; Kenny Johnson as Norma’s estranged older brother Caleb and Rebecca Creskoff as Christine, who will become Norma’s first friend in White Pine Bay.

“Bates Motel” Season 2 will premiere in 2014 on A&E.
