At Comic-Con International, HBO opened the annual “Game of Thrones” panel with an “In Memorial” video set to Boyz II Men’s “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday.” The video is a fantastic parody of every “In Memorial” video you’ve ever seen as it chronicles the brutal deaths of nearly every major and minor character on the show to date.
But right around the 1:30 mark, the video stops being funny and takes a more somber look at the fan favorite characters who were lost. The Comic-Con crowd was particularly moved when the video paid tribute to the Stark family by celebrating their lives rather than than their horrific murders.
HBO has released the “Game of Thrones: In Memorial” video online as an early teaser for the fourth season coming next year. Raise a glass to the fallen, for the North Remembers…
