Comic-Con 2013: The World’s End Cast and Director Interviews

The world is ending, and so is the Three Flavours Cornetto Trillogy. The series of genre comedy collaborations between Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost began with 2004’s zombie apocalypse romance Shaun of the Dead, continued in the 2007 cop thriller bromance Hot Fuzz, and with The World’s End – due in theaters August 23rd – concludes with a sci-fi film about nostalgia.

CraveOnline ran into Nick Frost, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright backstage at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 and got them to talk about how The World’s End reverses some of their comedy archetypes, Pegg and Wright’s screenwriting process and the future of collaborations together, which may be numerous… but won’t be Cornetto.
