EA didn’t just want to show us some gameplay of Battlefield 4 during their E3 presentation, they wanted to blow the roof off. So they brought one player to the stage, then lifted 63 others out of the floor to play the Siege of Shanghai map.
Battlefield is already known for its massive battles with players from all over the world, but they are definitely trying to up the ante with the next gen technology of the Xbox One and PS4. EA showed off a huge open world where you can move freely from land to air to sea, coordinate assault or defense with your squad and even get support fire from someone else on a tablet using the new Battlelog.
It was an impressive display of computing power … especially when players collapsed a skyscraper in front of you, moments after you had parachuted out of it. The world seems to adapt to any play strategy you can imagine. One player decided to deal with a pesky tank by heading into the underground and shooting out support beam to the road above, dropping the tank out of harm’s way. Wow.
