Exclusive First Look at MAD Magazine #521

Hey kids! MAD Magazine is doing it’s thang, and we’ll give you your first look at #521, which will feature a Game of Thrones satire. As you can see from the cover below, Alfred E. Neuman has a different kind of throne.

Now, you’ll have to get the issue to see just how the Usual Gang of Idiots plunges into that show – and if you want it, you can hook yourself up with a MAD subscription right here. What we can show you, though, is a bit of comedy from artist John Caldwell, which shows us eight ways we can soften the blow of death row. That’s certainly a blow what needs oftening.

As far as reviews go, he believes the main point of being a critic is not to pass yourself off as the final arbiter of quality passing holy judgment on a work of art, but rather just to share opinions so that the reader can decide whether or not the critic is someone whose tastes generally align with theirs. If so, that reviewer is one whose work you can trust if you're curious about a particular title. If not, cue loud, angry internet vitriol.
