Warner Brothers brought footage from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to Comic-Con, along with Jackson and stars Ian McKellan, Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman. In Hall H he showed footage and in a panel he spoke about his efforts to create a more cinematic experience. New cinematic technology will create a new cinematic experience, but we wanted to ask him about the creative side of that. He also told Hall H that he has access to more Tolkien material, the 120 or so pages of appendices at the end of Return of the King.
