Sometimes we don’t give modern-day celebs enough credit. With the days of hard-drinking, hard-living movie stars like Errol Flynn, Warren Beatty, and Marlon Brando swilling whiskey and crushing ass long behind us – it’s easy to view today’s movie stars as… soft.
Can you imagine Ashton Kutcher and Jack Nicholson going head-to-head? No. Jack would kick his ass.
But, what you may not know is that some of today’s stars are just as badass as ever. Here’s five celebs that have been in brutal bar fights:
1. Sean Bean
Earlier last year, Sean Bean, that’s right – Ned Stark, b*tches – was in a tiff outside a bar in London with an attractive lady enjoying a cigarette when she was harassed by some passerby’s. Defending the good lady’s honor, Boromir got into a dust-up that led to him being repeated punched in the face and stabbed with a broken bottle! Dude, Boromir may have been unlikable, but he didn’t deserve that! But, the coolest part about this? Instead of receiving medical attention, Sean Bean walked right back in the bar and ordered another drink. That’s badass.
2. Jeremy Renner
Jeremy Renner just barely dodged the biggest mistake in his career since SWAT when he was involved in a bar fight in Thailand. He was able to bolt before things got too out of hand. And it’s a good thing he did to. One of his fellow bar patrons caught an axe in the neck. That’s not a joke. A guy got a axe to the neck!
3. Vince Vaughn and Steve Buscemi
In 1998, while filming the John Travolta atrocity, Domestic Disturbance in N. Carolina. These two were involved in bloodbath at a local watering hole during which Buscemi was stabbed in the throat, head, and arm and Vince Vaughn was arrested for brawling after Vaughn started talking to some redneck’s girlfriend. After stabbing Buscemi, his assailant bragged, “I stabbed that guy that’s in ever movie who’s name I can’t remember!” This incident was later popularized as the movie, Wedding Crashers.
4. Shia LaBeouf
Shia LaBeouf tried to get into a bar fight after a drunken patron called him a “f*cking f*ck.” Angered by the cleverness of such an insult, Shia lunged at the assailant and got punched in the face for his troubles. Shia had the last laugh when his Camaro broke the other guys neck in a slow-mo action sequence.
5. Kiefer Sutherland
In 2009, Kiefer Sutherland of Lost Boys and 24 head-butted a guy to defend Brooke Shield’s honor. Brooke Shield’s claimed nothing happened to deserve his interference, but Kiefer took it upon himself to defend her. Kiefer later apologized and saved the world with his raspy voice.
