Flashpoint #5 and Justice League #1 are the only two new DC books this week, heralding the beginning of the New 52 initiative, giving us 52 new #1 issues to make a big ground floor for new readers to get in on. Several places across the country had midnight release parties, and Los Angeles was no exception.
At Meltdown Comics, not only did the shindig sport appearances by Scott Lobdell (Superboy, Teen Titans, Red Hood & The Outlaws), Mike Costa (Blackhawks), Josh Fialkov (I, Vampire) and Kyle Higgins (Nightwing, Deathstroke), but it also drew out the cosplayers, and seriously, that’s all you really want to see, right?
