Epic Games and GameStop have just announced an exclusive bundle for Gears of War 3. Fans can pick up any edition of the title (Regular, Limited or Epic) bundled with a replica Retro Lancer, one of the new pieces of arsenal within Gears 3.
During the beta period, the Retro Lancer fast became one of my favorite new weapons. Rather than a chainsaw, the Retro Lancer features a badass, bloody sword tip. When you’re looking to use that tip to kill, you’ll sprint towards an enemy and tear straight through them. It’s obnoxious. It’s ridiculous. It’s satisfying.
You can either pick up the Retro Lancer as part of the GameStop exclusive bundles, or you can buy it as a standalone for $99.99 in September. When it’s bundled with any edition of the game, the Retro Lancer will only cost you an additional $79.99. So, if you’re going to get the replica, you may as well do it when you get the game.
