Who Is Bryce Tetraeder, Global Tetrahedron CEO Who Bought InfoWars?

Some might be wondering about Bryce Tetraeder, or Bryce P. Tetraeder, the CEO of Global Tetrahedron who supposedly purchased InfoWars from Alex Jones. This self-described entrepreneur, thought leader, and venture capitalist apparently bought the right-wing conspiracy site after winning a secret bid on Thursday, November 14. Jones was forced to sell InfoWars and other assets at auction to pay a $1 billion settlement he owes the families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims.

Who is Global Tetrahedron’s Bryce P. Tetraeder?

Bryce P. Tetraeder is a fake CEO created by The Onion, a website that publishes satirical news, and was made to lampoon corporate owners of media conglomerates.

The character actually has an account on X (formerly Twitter) that says he is “Global Tetrahedron CEO, chairman, media proprietor, entrepreneur, human trafficker, thought leader, and venture capitalist.” The account was created in August 2024, the same month that he supposedly purchased The Onion and published a letter where he reveals that he is a Harvard graduate and headed Global Tetrahedron’s corporate ransom division.

Global Tetrahedron, the supposed parent company of The Onion and InfoWars, has its own satirical website. The webpage has a mock statement written by Tetraeder where he praises InfoWars “as an invaluable tool for brainwashing and controlling the masses.”

Ben Collins, the CEO of The Onion, is clearly in on the joke, writing in a post on X that Bryce Tetraeder is unavailable for an interview about his purchase of InfoWars due to him currently being “on his superyacht on his way to do a quality control check at one of 43,000 global puppy mills.”

As reported by CNN, Collins said he was also proud of Infowars’ “storied tradition of scaring the site’s users with lies until they fork over their cold, hard cash. Or Bitcoin. We will also accept Bitcoin.”

The Onion’s bid at auction was supported by eight victims of school shootings, and the site has an advertising deal with a gun control group called Everytown for Gun Safety. It’s still unclear what the outlet’s plans are for InfoWars, but it will reportedly relaunch the site in 2025. Whatever it turns into, it’s sure to be hilarious.
