What did Taylor Swift say about Kris Kristofferson before his death?

Taylor Swift called Kris Kristofferson her “role model.” This was after the late country star praised her songwriting skills and told her that she would have the “most wonderful career, and most wonderful life,” as per a New York Magazine interview.

Kristofferson also quipped that Swift was “already in the Hall of Fame!” when asked if she could make it into the Country Music Hall of Fame in the future. Meanwhile, Swift hyperventilated when telling her mother about how Kristofferson praised her and her music, even claiming she had “blacked out a little bit.”

Taylor Swift again stressed that Kristofferson was her role model in front of a crowd during a benefit concert for the Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010, where she performed alongside him, Lionel Richie, Emmylou Harris, and Vince Gill. “These are the best role models I could have,” she said of Kristofferson and the others, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The “Bad Blood” singer and Kristofferson first crossed paths in 2009 during the Country Music Awards event. Here, Kristofferson presented Swift with one of the four awards she had won that year.

Moreover, when Kristofferson finally launched his Instagram account, the first post he shared was a picture of himself and Swift.

Taylor Swift has yet to comment on Kris Kristofferson’s death or pay tribute to him.
