Good lord, is there anything Republicans don’t get their panties in a twist about? For a political party that likes to insult Democrats by calling them “snowflakes,” they sure do have thin skin. But we’re not talking about disagreements over major issues like inflation, the pandemic, gun violence, or the fact that 46 million Americans are saddled with student loan debt. No, today the most pressing concern of Republicans regards Pizza Hut and the chain’s “BOOK IT!” program.
You remember “BOOK IT!” right? Back in the day, you earned a delicious, cheesy, greasy glob otherwise known as a Personal Pan Pizza for reading a certain number of books. Apparently, the program is still around…and now it’s pissing conservatives off.
The pizza chain started trending (perhaps for the first time ever?) on Twitter after a handful of tweets by right-wing nutjobs sparked outrage among GOP supporters.
Jack Posobiec, a host of something not worth paying attention to, retweeted propaganda about how Pizza Hut included a book about a kid who dresses in drag in the “BOOK IT!” program.

“Everything” as in…a large pepperoni with a side of breadsticks? Jeez. We’re sorry for your loss, man. How are you going to go on? Maybe you heard 19 kids were recently killed in Uvalde, Texas, by an 18-year-old with an assault rifle, but this pizza thing is a real tragedy in comparison.
“Pizza Hut has gone full woke, now we must make them full broke,” tweeted Brigitte Gabriel, who claims to be a New York Times bestselling author but clearly never progressed beyond the Dr. Seuss level of reading.
