Meanwhile at Sea World: Useless Dad Gets Called Out by a Mime, Of All People

There are few things more annoying than a mime. But even worse than those silent performers with stupid berets and white-painted faces is when one of them calls you out on something – and the whole interaction gets caught on video and goes viral on TikTok.

That’s what happened to Nick Tzenevrakis, a dad who visited Sea World in Orlando, Florida, with his wife Michelle and their 13-month-old daughter Kalliope. As everyone around the world has now seen in the clip, Michelle is juggling both a hefty backpack and the toddler. Her husband is just straggling behind, oblivious to the heavy lifting his wife is doing.

The mime sees the unbalanced scene and intervenes, taking the backpack from Michelle and passing it off to Nick. While the mime doesn’t utter a word, his body language and facial expression seem to say: “There. I fixed it for you.” Even more mortifying? The crowd breaks into applause at the heroic actions of the mime.

A fellow Sea World goer named Ernest Palomo recorded the video. It has since amassed almost 13 million views — and almost 25,000 comments on TikTok.

“I thought it was pretty hilarious,” Palomo told TODAY Parents. “Everyone was cheering.”

The Warsaw, Illinois couple found out they were being filmed after the fact, and were surprised to see the clip go viral.

In his defense, Nick told Today: “That mime totally caught me off guard. At that moment, I was in a total daze. I was really hungry and my feet were hurting me.”

(Boo-fucking-hoo, Nick.)

If the mime thought he changed the dad’s perspective with his overtly critical act, think again. Nick told the news outlet he wasn’t embarrassed at all.

“I thought it was pretty funny,” he said.

Commenters didn’t. They roasted the young papa.

“Oh I bet he’s one of the “i will NOT change diapers’ kinda guys,” one wrote.

“Men like that dad are useless,” another opined.

But Michelle is standing by her man.

“Nick is the greatest father and I want to make sure that people know that,” she told Today. “He does so much for us. He’s just awesome in every way.”

Perhaps. But as the mime showed everyone, actions speak louder than words.
