Since we clearly have more free time on our hands than any human possibly should, we spend a lot of time watching funny animal videos on the internet. We especially love cats doing things that seem to bend the laws of gravity, goats climbing on things, and dogs that are either adorable, wearing hilarious costumes, or running around wildly without a care in the world. A dog video is comedic gold, and videos starring our canine companions are the ones we watch again and again. We can’t get enough of dogs running around in places where they shouldn’t while people either chase after them or look on in disbelief. That’s why we really enjoyed a recent video out of Mexico.
It all went down at Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and a witness was smart enough to film the whole ordeal on their phone. What exactly went down was a tiny dog escaped from baggage handlers and ran around the tarmac as they attempted to corral the pup. How it escaped its carrier, we have no idea. But it’s clear the handlers aren’t equipped to catch this speedy dog. Eventually, the dog was caught without incident and that makes the video much more fun.
While we don’t know if the plane was leaving or arriving at the airport, we can only assume this had to have delayed handlers either removing luggage or adding luggage to the plane. As to why the dog ran off in the first place?
We can only assume it realized how close the town of Tequila is to Guadalajara and it couldn’t wait to taste that sweet, agave-based spirit. That makes sense, right? Now, a dog pretending to drink tequila in a little sombrero — that would be a really cute, funny video.
