When we were young, we were lucky if our moms slipped us a couple of Oreos or a Capri Sun in our lunchboxes. Otherwise, we were stuck with boring ham and cheese sandwiches or PB&Js every day. But one influencer mom went over the top in celebration of her son’s ninth birthday…by packing him lobster in his lunchbox.
“Hey friends, lemme show you what I packed for my son’s 9th golden birthday,” Tiffany Keene (aka @real.at.tiffanys on Instagram) said in an (unembeddable) video detailing the extravagant edibles for her elementary-aged kid named Cruz. “This boy loves seafood, so I had to make sure to incorporate it in his lunch today.”
In addition to the lobster and shrimp-stuffed wrap entrée, the mom included fries and macarons.
But wait, the ridiculousness doesn’t stop there. Because it was Cruz’s golden birthday (he turned 9 on Feb. 9), all the eating accouterments, from the utensils to the napkin, were gold.
“I even spray-painted his sparkling water gold to match the theme,” the overachieving mama gushed as she held up the can to the camera.
As if that weren’t cringey enough, she included a handwritten joke, too. “Did the teddy bear want cake on his b-day?” it read. “No, he was stuffed!”
While we’re sure Cruz was grateful for his special birthday meal, we can’t help but wonder how many kids are waiting to beat him up for being such a mama’s boy. And that’s something we’ll never see his mom post on Instagram.
