Meanwhile in Korea: New Nose-Only Mask For Dining Out Is Scientifically Proven to Make Other People Embarrassed For You

If you didn’t think masks could get any sexier, think again. South Korea is turning seduction meters to 11 with the new nose-only mask custom-designed to ruin your first date. Dubbed the “kosk” – a combination of the Korean word for “nose” and the American word for “mask” – this sad hybrid of pandemic fatigue and fatal optimism is taking the world by storm.

Like tearaway pants for your face, the kosk can go from full mask to nose-only faster than you can say “where’s my nose?” Created by a company called Atman the mask retails for a mere 81 cents per sheath and is designed with anti-viral copper to block nasty Omicrons from entering your beak.

Despite how undeniably sexy it looks, social media dead-sprinted to life to make fun of the nose-only germ guard, with many on Twitter having a laugh about the fresh-from-rhinoplasty style.

Yet despite the mockery, South Korea may know a thing or two about combating the pandemic. With less than 7,000 deaths attributed to coronavirus, the country is clearly having more success than us. To put it another way, America has had 20 times the number of covid-related deaths than South Korea.

So don’t be surprised if the nose-only mask becomes the latest weird trend of 2022. Just like sneezing on people that you love it’s another questionable pandemic idea coming to a nose near you.
