Breaking: High-Speed Motorcycle Police Pursuit Shockingly Ends Badly in LA (Disturbing Video)

Don’t try this at home, kids…unless you have a death wish. Yesterday, a motorcyclist led cops on a high-speed chase through Los Angeles…until he crashed into a car and died.

Video captured the daredevil on a stolen motorcycle, burning rubber down Roscoe Boulevard in West Hills, approaching 130 miles per hour. He even stood up on the bike at one point, a reckless sort of swan song before he collided with a car making a left turn at Fallbrook Avenue. He went flying through the air and died at the scene.

Warning: graphic content ahead…

“It’s a very sad day here. Just another example of how reckless driving – regardless of who it is – causes death,” said LAPD Captain Andy Neiman.

Whether or not the motorcyclist was being pursued by the cops is a point of contention. The police say that undercover officers noticed something off about the motorcycle and/or the rider, which prompted them to run the plates. They realized that the bike was stolen, so they tried to pull over the motorcyclist in a parking lot. That’s when he fled, quickly losing the police cruiser with breakneck speeds. At that point, LAPD supposedly decided not to pursue a chase, choosing instead to have a helicopter follow the fugitive overhead. As it turned out, the rider met his demise before he could be arrested.

We don’t know what to make of all of this, but we sure as hell know that no crotch rocket, no matter how fast it can go, is worth dying for.
