They say everything’s bigger in Texas, and we think they’re right. There are no bigger idiots anywhere in the country. (OK, maybe in Florida. Tough to say.) One such example of a Lone Star State loser is a mom who put her Covid-positive son in the trunk to prevent being exposed to the virus.
This all went down earlier in the week when the mom, who is a high school English teacher with the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, brought her son to a school district testing site at Houston’s Pridgeon Stadium. He had already tested positive for Covid, but she felt he needed additional testing.
At the testing site, she told the district’s director of health services that her sick son was in the trunk so that she wouldn’t risk getting coronavirus. That person asked to see the boy, so the mom allegedly popped the trunk like this was no big deal. (And maybe it isn’t…if you’re in the mafia!)
The local police were obviously contacted and the clueless mom was brought in on a warrant. The kid is fine but the mom has been placed on administrative leave from her teaching job…presumably until she gets schooled on proper Covid-19 quarantine protocol.
