Watch Airline Karen Slap Elderly Passenger During Face Mask Argument (Wearing One Might’ve Softened the Blow, Old Man)

Are we seriously still arguing over whether or not you need to wear a face mask in public? Really? It’s been two years, people, and this pandemic shit is never going to end if we can’t figure out how to keep our respiratory droplets to ourselves. But try telling that to a Karen who recently went batshit on a Delta flight over another passenger’s refusal to wear a mask.

In a viral Twitter video, a woman now identified as Patricia Cornwall is seen arguing with a gray-haired gentleman on a flight from Tampa to Atlanta.

Though her own mask is pulled beneath her chin, she yells, “Put your fucking mask on!” at the ol’ geezer.

“Sit down, Karen!” he responds.

“Mask up!” she shouts.

“You mask up, bitch!” he shouts back.

Though two flight attendants try to intervene, Cornwall gets a solid bitch slap in.

“You’re going to jail!” he bellows at her.

Other crew members attempt to escort Cornwall down the aisle, but she can be heard screaming, “You fucking piece of shit!” all the way.

The old man may have been right about Cornwall going to jail. When the flight landed at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the police were waiting and Cornwall was arrested by the FBI. (Yikes.)

“Flight 2790 from Tampa to Atlanta was met by law enforcement after an unruly customer disturbance during flight,” a Delta representative told the New York Post in an email. “Situations like these are rare for the vast majority of our customers and Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior at our airports and aboard our aircraft.”

OK, sure, if you say so, but these in-flight altercations are becoming more and more common these days.

As for the maskless old guy, we hope he learned his lesson. Even if he doesn’t care about stopping coronavirus, wearing a thick cloth mask might protect his face next time a Karen decides to get aggro on him.
