Talk about a career pivot! Once upon a time, Xavier Novell was the Bishop of Solsona in Catalonia, Spain, and considered a rising star in his community. Then he fell in love with a 38-year-old divorced Satanic erotic fiction writer and well, his career in the Catholic church went straight to hell. He resigned from the religious fold and is now working with Semen Cardona, a Barcelona-based business that specializes in exporting pig semen.
What attracted the 52-year-old to the company, which boasts 19 artificial insemination centers, is unclear, but his former heavenly brethren is all hot under the collar about it.
“It’s like the Parable of the Prodigal Son in the Gospel of Luke,” one clergyman told Spanish media, according to the Daily Mail. “[It is] the story of the son who abandoned the Father to lead a debaucherous life, and ended up wishing to eat pig slop. But in this case it’s the beast/devil, because he masturbates them.”
Good lord, that’s a lot to swallow. Let’s hope he’s not doing that, too!
