Watch Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Stingy Assault Rifle Giveaway (What, No Tanks?)

If you’d just stepped out of a time machine and didn’t know any better, you’d think every politician in America was part of an elaborate sketch comedy performance. And no one would make you laugh harder than Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. Until you realize she’s not joking.

Capitol Hill felt the same unease after Greene promoted a gun giveaway on her YouTube channel just days ahead of the “Justice For J6” rally. But much like Greene’s ability in politics, the rally turned out to be extremely underwhelming, with only a few dozen whingers kicking around Union Square.

While lawmakers felt they’d dodged another bullet (so to speak) Greene’s cinematic masterpiece deserves an instant retrospective. Because few things will make you laugh this hard while questioning everything you know about humanity.

In the 90-second video, Greene marches through tall grass hugging a Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle like the family dog. After firing off a bunch of nonsense through a pair of ruggedly chapped lips, she spots her target in the distance and takes aim.

We’re not sure what Greene would be like if we bumped into her at a backyard BBQ, but cradling a 50 caliber rifle in her arms while lying prone in the back of an armored truck as she says, “I’m going to blow away the democrats’ socialist agenda” sounds just a teensy bit like a death threat from an unhinged maniac.

Of course, no shoestring budget reenactment of Rambo would be complete without a sweet triple explosion. Though we have a feeling the most damage done that day was to Marge’s slightly sunburned shooting shoulder.

Private life notwithstanding, it turns out Greene is no virgin when it comes to gat giveaways. Since being stripped of all of her congressional committee assignments in February, the sun-bleached human gun-piñata has given away an AR-15, a sniper rifle, and a handgun. We’re just waiting for the tank to drop.
