Look, I can’t stand (I’m actually sitting) here and say I’m Steve Jobs when it comes to technology. What I can say is that even I know when I’m replying to one person and when I’m replying to everyone. And if I didn’t I wouldn’t have a job right now. Well, I know of at least one person who doesn’t know when he’s replying to everyone: 23-year-old Southern Oregon University student Caleb Diaz.
Diaz and the rest of the students (along with staff) at his school were recently sent an email warning them about cougars in the area. And Diaz decided to reply to the email with a pretty great roast of his mom. The only issue is that Diaz somehow instead replied all. That’s right, this joke got sent to everyone.

And let’ just say that Diaz shit his pants when he realized what he had done. Here’s what he told BuzzFeed:
“Friday evening, we got the alert about the cougar and my roommate and I kind of looked at each other and were like, ‘That seems like an older woman, not an animal. I didn’t think that I sent it to the whole school.
I thought you had to have certain administrative credentials or something like that [to be able to reply all]. I guess you can send an email out to all the students.”
Diaz also added this:
“I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, oh no.’ I had like, a panic attack. I ran out, grabbed my laptop, and googled ‘How to delete email from Gmail that you’ve sent.'”
Well, according to Diaz his mom found out and she was completely OK with it. But how the hell was a student able to reply all to a school email? Here’s what Joe Mosley, a spokesperson for Southern Oregon University said:
“All-student emails on our campus are moderated. This student’s response normally would have been blocked, but in this case it slipped through – and we’re happy so many people got a good laugh out of it.”
Translation: we thought it was hilarious and are also eager to see how hot this guy’s mom truly is. Hey, we’re wondering the same thing.
