Earlier this year we told you folks about a Tofu salesman who allowed a car to hit him as part of a scam. As as bad of an acting job that that was, that salesman is Marlon Brando compared to the guy in this story.
According to Newsflare, Elizabeth Aspey was behind the wheel of a car when her dashcam caught a man on a bike just randomly fail down in the middle of the road as her car approaches him — a clear “cash for crash” scam incident. When the man notices Aspey isn’t moved by his acting job he quickly gets up and starts to spew curse words.
Check out the video below:
Here’s what Aspey had to say:
“We were on our way home from Nottingham to Stoke at about 8.30pm, I think. I thought he was just being an idiot in the middle of the road with his bike so I slowed down but then he threw himself on the floor. We had seen a similar video before so I think we both knew what was going on. It was just so bizarre because I just felt like things like this don’t happen to us. I just count myself lucky that I wasn’t alone and that I had the dashcam to film it all.”
You can also clearly see that the guy gets pissed off when he’s notified that he’s just been caught on a cam. “I hope that people see this and become a little more vigilant about this kind of thing. It needs all of the awareness it can get,” Aspey’s boyfriend, Jack Campion said.
A tad more successful: The Greatest Scams Of All Time
We have to say that we do not appreciate this guy’s lack of commitment to his role. He really needs to study some Brando or some Daniel-Day Lewis in order for him to sell it. Now we aren’t encouraging anyone to go down the scam route, but if you happen to choose that route make sure you cry or scream out in pain while holding your leg. Also make sure to yell, “My leg! You crushed my leg!” You know, just to add some pizzazz.
