KFC Actually Ran Out Of Chicken In The UK

KFC has had some hits and misses in recent years. While sometimes they do funny things like only follow 11 people on Twitter for a hilarious reason, they also also sometimes miss the mark when it comes to telling jokes. But nothing compares to actually running out of the thing they actually need: chicken.

Recently, in the UK and Ireland, 900 KFC branches had to close for the day after their was a shortage of chicken. The chaos kicked off after a delivery problem brought hundreds of stores to close across the nation, in what can only be described as the freaking apocalypse.

Here’s what KFC had to say in a statement:

“We know that this might have inconvenienced some of you over the last few days, and disappointed you when you wanted your fried chicken fix — we’re really sorry about that. We won’t compromise on quality, so no deliveries has meant some of our restaurants are closed, and others are operating a limited menu, or shortened hours.

We’ve brought a new delivery partner onboard, but they’ve had a couple of teething problems – getting fresh chicken out to 900 restaurants across the country is pretty complex!”

As of Monday night, only 300 of KFC’s branches were still open in the area. And let’s just say that it’s a good thing that didn’t happen in America because if it did there would be riots and cities would be burned to the ground by people who just want to stuff their face with delicious and greasy chicken — including the president.
