We’ve written plenty of stories of criminals who aren’t very bright. Do you remember that dude who got stuck in a chimney attempting to break into a business? What about the drug dealer who was busted after leaving a note on her door about ‘snitches’? And while those criminals clearly won’t be winning any IQ tests anytime soon, the criminal below may just be more proof that criminals in general are just getting dumber.
Derbyshire Police recently shared a photo of a grown woman attempting to hide from them after skipping court. The only problem? The woman decided to “hide” by putting a hamper over her head. Have a look at the tweet below.
Female located and arrested for failing to appear at court. It’s all well and good saying “I’ll hand myself in on Monday” – you should have turned up last week when you were told to!!!

After being caught, the woman told police, “I’ll hand myself in on Monday.” Hey, that makes sense. Who wants to have their weekend ruined? Might as well enjoy the weekend and then turn yourself in on Monday, so for that I completely understand. What I don’t understand, and never will, is this woman’s choice of hiding spot.
Next time just hide under the bed; that’s a classic hiding spot.
