Look, I know that everyone enjoys…enjoying themselves once in a while. And while I’d like to think that the majority of you know your body well, it seems like that’s not the case. And the only reason I say that is because every year up to 100 men in Germany die…while masturbating.
But of course there’s more to this than just death by the right hand, these guys actually upped the ante when pleasuring themselves, thus risking their life. One man actually wore a diving suit, put a plastic bag over his head, and get this, sat on a heater to try and melt slices of cheese on his body.
Oh, but here’s another: one poor lad accidentally electrocuted himself while using Christmas lights to get himself off. Oh boy.
Eastern Kentucky University professor John Curra, the author behind The Relativity of Deviance, says that erotic asphyxiation may be a big reason behind these bizarre deaths. Here’s what he had to say:
“The carotid arteries (on either side of the neck) carry oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the brain. When these are compressed, as in strangulation or hanging, the sudden loss of oxygen to the brain and the accumulation of carbon dioxide can increase feelings of giddiness, light-headedness, and pleasure, all of which will heighten masturbatory sensations.”
But why are folks, especially in Germany, going down this route? Well experts say that erotic asphyxiation can give an orgasm the same sensation one feels when taking cocaine.
So, in conclusion, just stick to pleasure methods that are safe and won’t take your life. Oh, and stay away from cocaine while you’re at it, too.
