Pennsylvania Man Found Guilty Of Killing Roommate Over Beer

I’ll admit that I’d be quite butthurt if I caught somebody stealing my Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, but beating him to death over it would be near the bottom of my list of reactions.

Well, according to KDKA, 35-year-old Brentwood resident Justin Vankirk would apparently beg to differ, as he was willing to do it over a far shittier beer.

That’s right, kids. Vankirk was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after a judge ruled his actions were responsible for his 58-year-old roommate’s death last year. Those actions? You guessed it – He beat the shit out of Charles Parker after confronting him about stealing his Keystone Ice and then left him lying on the floor while he went to bed.

Vankirk said he returned home the next morning and found Parker “not breathing,” and that was obviously because he had died. Vankirk’s attorney argued that Parker’s “fatal head injury” could have been the result of him falling down drunk because he apparently had a pretty impressive history of doing so, but the judge disagreed and found Vankirk guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

For the record, a Keystone Ice 30-pack will cost you roughly 15 bucks these days, and that is apparently enough to get killed by your roommate over in the great state of Pennsylvania.
