They apparently have a unique way of celebrating the end of the school year at Eastwood High School in Pietermaritzburg.
According to the Daily News, 34 students were arrested after “end-of-year school celebrations turned violent,” and by that we mean students were so jacked about the arrival of summer that they allegedly stoned the teachers’ cars, threw condoms filled with piss and shit at the school building and injured one student who had to be rushed to hospital in the after getting stabbed in the hand with a knife.

Even after police arrived and diffused the situation, the “shenanigans” continued with death threats against teachers and at least one bomb threat.
Surprisingly, a spokesperson for the Department of Education said that they are pushing for those students still in custody to be released as soon as possible. Why? Yup, you guessed it – they still need to prepare for final exams next week.
“Regardless of the disciplinary measures to be taken, these pupils still need to write their exams. With that said, this does not mean that they will not be disciplined accordingly,” Sihle Mlotshwa said.
Let’s hope a good portion of that exam focuses on why throwing shit-filled condoms at school buildings and teachers is not good for the advancement of society.
