Two Women Escape From Prison Only To Get Busted…In An ‘Escape Room’

And yes, this is all true.

Let’s all talk about two inmates who successfully escaped from an Edmonton, Canada prison, where they were locked up in. And yet, only one day later they were caught. But it’s not that they were caught that’s the story, it is where they were caught that has people scratching their head.

Kelsie Laine Marie Mast, 23, and 20-year-old Samantha Faye Toope were able to hop the fence at the Edmonton Institution for Women, and instead of heading towards freedom, the female outlaws decided it would be a good idea to head towards SideQuests Adventures and partake in the extremely popular escape rooms. That’s right, from one cell to another.

Here’s what Rebecca Liaw, the co-owner of SideQuests, had to say to Global News. ”

“It sort of was funny to think that they weren’t going to escape from an escape room. Definitely not as challenging here as, I assume, escaping from jail would be.”

Liaw adds that the the pair arrived and quickly started asking questions about the escape room:

“They continued the stream of typical questions. They were extremely cool about it. They kept up a regular conversation, asking completely typical questions that we do get on a daily basis. Nothing out of the ordinary.”

Well it wasn’t long before police showed up. Take a look at the video below.

I hope that one day of freedom was worth it, ladies.

And if you’re curious, Toope is serving two years for robbery and other charges, and Mast is serving just under three years for drug trafficking and other crimes, according to the CBC, who also adds that both women are violent offenders.

Just a pair of classy broads.
