Not to give the FOX drama Gotham flack, but it’s not every Batman fan’s cup of tea. After all, what’s so horribly interesting about the gritty world of Gotham City through the eyes of a young Jim Gordon and an even younger Bruce Wayne? All the best stuff isn’t going to happen for another 15 years! Nevertheless, the show seems to have a following, which is all well and good for those folks.
On the flip side, Batman: The Animated Series — which most people now in their late 20s to early 30s grew up watching every day after school — turns 25 years old this year, and hasn’t skipped a beat. In fact, the brand is still putting out new films based around the characters of said universe.

So what would happen if the two iterations of the same mythology were combined? Artist and Batman TAS aficionado Rick Celis put pencil to paper to find out. The results are — not to overstate it — more glorious than you could possibly imagine. But first, for those of you who’ve never seen Gotham, here’s a look at some key cast members:
