Call me an optimist, but when I see people in potentially life-threatening situations in photos on the internet, I tend to assume they were staged or Photoshopped. Nine times out of ten, that’s the proper response to such pictures, as what isn’t fake these days? However, unlike the parents on YouTube’s DaddyOFive claiming that their alleged child abuse is exaggerated fabrication, the photos below are legitimately just that. No children were harmed in the Photoshopping of the pics below (and we’re sure the dad “taking” them is a wonderful parent).
That said, as a new father myself, these are legitimately horrifying at first glance. Any one of them instantly makes you snap into dad mode and want to jump out and grab her before things take a hard left turn into seriously dark territory. But hey, since they’re just prank photos concocted for the sole purpose of freaking people out on Reddit, might as well laugh our asses off at them (not to mention appreciate how well-crafted they are):

See? No harm, no foul. This baby practically lives for danger. I, on the other hand, need to go pop a Xanax.
