According to Metro, picking your nose and then eating whatever you pulled out can actually be good for you.

No, seriously.

One study suggested that your boogers are full of healthy bacteria that can protect your teeth when ingested. Another revealed that “the mucus in snot could fight off respiratory infections and stomach ulcers.” Hell, there is even one respiratory specialist who says nose pickers are “healthier, happier, and likely in better tune with their bodies.”

“Eating the dry remains of what you pull out [of your nose] is a great way of strengthening the body’s immune system,” Professor Friedrich Bischinger said. “Medically it makes great sense and is a perfectly natural thing to do.”

Bischinger added that the bacteria collected in the nose acts just like medicine once it hits our intestines.

To be honest, that’s one of the most amazing things we have ever heard. The only problem? You guessed it: You have to pick your nose and eat your fucking boogers. I’ll stick with the herb for my aches and pains, thank you very much.
