Sounds like a rather shitty business proposition if you ask me.

According to the South China Morning Post, an ocean park in central China’s Hubei province is charging people $145 to clean up polar bear shit, and believe it or not, people are jumping at the opportunity of a lifetime.

Not surprisingly, the offer to pay to clean up after the polar bears, feed them and learn about them was first extended on April 1. After filling out an application one week in advance, potential pooper scoopers are given a quick health exam. If they pass, they are given “clothes and shoes provided by the park that are previously disinfected before entering the bear enclosure.”

Once inside, it’s then time to clean up some shit, prepare some food and eventually feed the bears.

The big payoff? You guessed it: Those who pay to clean up the poop are allowed to take a selfie with the polar bear and then share it on social media.

“I posted the pictures on my WeChat account and immediately received 60 likes,” a local man named Little Li said.

So if you’re keeping score at home, that guy paid $145 and cleaned up a giant pile of bear shit to get 60 likes on social media. Terrific.
