Two things in this story that shouldn’t be shocking anymore, nor should they make anyone gasp. One: this happened in Florida. And two: a teacher hooked with a student.
Valerie Michelle Valvo, a 34-year-old art teacher at Central High School, apparently was teaching more than art to one 17-year-old student, as she has confessed to having sex with the pupil at least five times. Valvo also confessed to smoking weed with the student, and drinking with him in order to set the mood before having sex.
Well, she doesn’t look too happy, that’s for sure. At least not like this teacher.
Valvo, who was a teacher at the school for three years, has been suspended from her job with pay — pending the outcome of the investigation. And oh, let’s just assume she will lose her job because she has already been charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Valvo’s deeds was caught up with after the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office received a tip about a teach hooking up with a student.
One comment on the Hernando County Sheriff’s Facebook page, where Valvo’s mugshot was posted, said this:
“The sad part is that this Woman [sic] is well liked by many students.”
Ha, I bet she is.
