A 76-year-old man getting married is a pretty strange story, but it doesn’t become newsworthy until he does something crazy like, oh, I don’t know, shoot his new wife in her buttocks.
Well, according to Fox 4, that’s exactly what happened recently after the new groom in Lehigh Acres became so upset that his wife still refused to have sex with him despite the fact that they were married in August that he grabbed a gun and shot her in the ass.

Donald Royce admitted to several deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office who responded to the scene that he did indeed shoot his wife in the butt over a lack of action.
“I shot her and the gun is in my room,” Royce allegedly told the officers, although he told them that he never meant to shoot her. His plan? You guessed it: He wanted to shoot the mattress to “scare her” but missed and hit her in the ass and hip instead, something that made him visibly upset.
Royce was charged with aggravated battery, and he should probably plan on many, many future days of no sex with his wife.
