Woman Thinks She’s Bought A Flat Screen TV Off Facebook, Gets A Piece Of Wood Instead

And let this be a lesson to everyone: don’t trust anyone.

When it comes to buying or selling stuff on Facebook or just on the internet in general, you always have to make sure to double-check that everything is in working order, and that the person you are dealing with isn’t completely bonkers. If you don’t do these things you might end up destroying your own sofa like this girl did. Or you might just end up with a flat piece of wood when you were hoping for a flat screen TV. Wait, what? Yep, that actually happened.

So Tiara Chatman thought she had just bought a 55″ Smart TV off of Facebook. Her first mistake was buying something on Facebook. Her second mistake, and even bigger mistake was not checking the television at all before buying it, because this is what happened.

Yes, Chatman actually got a piece of wood. Although she has no one to blame but herself because she was clueless enough not to check the product she was buying.

But I think this Facebook comment probably gives the best piece of advice:

Hey, worth a shot.
