I’ve never had the pleasure of taking a Qantas Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Sydney, but hopefully the gang at Mandatory sees how amazing my “news” stories are on a daily basis, bumps up my pay rate a smidge and after saving up for a year or two, I can be on my merry way.
Of course, not only will I be able to take in the pure luxury that I’ve heard perfectly describes the 15-hour journey aboard one of their planes, but I’ll also be able to take the Qantas Airlines food challenge, which is of course trying to devour this “Japanese Eggplant” dish without regurgitating it because the thought of it looking like a monster dong is just too overwhelming:

Um, yummy?
Here’s what a Qantas Airlines spokesperson had to say about it:
“The dish pictured is Steamed Vegetarian Dumplings with Chilli Black Vinegar and Soy Dressing. The dumplings are accompanied with steamed Japanese Eggplant, which is used commonly in Asian meals. Based on this picture, we may look at renaming it Dumpling Surprise.”
Well, at least they have a sense of humor about it. And if you do as well, then you might want to think about bumping that food challenge to the next level, which is of course eating just the eggplant portion using only your hands. Good luck.
