If you’re dead broke and in need of some quick cash, have you ever thought of going through your basement or attic and getting some junk you can take to Antique Roadshow? Or how about ripping up your kitchen and finding some valuables like this couple did? You know what? How about you just remodel your home and hope to find a bunch of cash like the dude below did.
The guy in this story was remodeling his home when he found a box with nothing but cash inside. All of the bills were from 1928-1934, making them somewhat more valuable. And in total he found a haul worth tens of thousands of dollars. Check out the pictures (and details) below thanks to Imgur user Branik12:
According to this guy “some of the bills were rarer than others.” There were also “some brown notes, a gold certificate and some star notes nearly uncirculated.” The guy decided to take the bills to have it appraised, as well as to talk to a lawyer to take care of legal stuff.
Where will the money go? Some of it will go to paying off his mortgage.
Oh, and how much money was in there? $23,000.
Some people have all the luck. Well, I did once find a collection of trash in a basement one time. So there’s that.
