Yeah, you can’t do that. Even if it isn’t your own, and even if it’s in Florida.
According to Huffington Post, a 57-year-old Boca Raton woman is in deep doo-doo after police said she allegedly smeared dog poop on her neighbor’s face and arms last week in retaliation to that neighbor’s dog using her lawn as a toilet.
Police said Amy Goldberg became infuriated last Wednesday when her 67-year-old neighbor let her dog drop a deuce on her lawn. The neighbor initially said she would pick it up, but after Goldberg continued to yell at her, the woman suggested that Goldberg just pick it up herself.
And that’s exactly what Goldberg did. But instead of disposing of it in a trash can, Goldberg reportedly rubbed it on her neighbor’s face, hands and shirt.
When police arrived, they noticed Goldberg’s neighbor had “dog doo” on her hands and shirt, but Goldberg said the woman rubbed it on herself. Police didn’t buy it, and Goldberg was booked on charges of battery on a person 65 years or older.
The good news for Goldberg is that being a crappy neighbor, figuratively or literally, is not a crime in Florida.
