Man Literally Sticks Up Florida Bank

Everybody be cool. This is a stickup. Literally.

According to WJXT, a Tennessee man was arrested and charged with armed robbery and resisting arrest without violence after allegedly robbing a bank in Neptune Beach, Florida.

His weapon? You guessed it: a stick.

Witnesses said Murray walked into a SunTrust Bank on Friday and held up a stick inside of a bag while yelling, “Nobody is going to get hurt if you give me $50,000 from the vault.”

Police said Murray got away with an undisclosed amount of money, but he was later discovered by an officer on a bicycle. The officer ordered Murray to stop several times but to no avail. Several other officers caught up with Murray a few minutes later and “deployed a Taser weapon to take him into custody.”

Murray was found with $124 on him at the time of his arrest. If that was all the cash he was able to get his hands on, it would be embarrassing – almost as embarrassing as nobody at the bank taking down a man whose only weapon was a stick.
