Naked Man Arrested After Playing Violin in Front of Portland Courthouse

Apparently, playing the violin while you’re naked as a jaybird is frowned upon, even in Portland.

According to KOIN 6, 25-year-old Matthew Thomas Mglej was arrested and charged with indecent exposure over the weekend after police received multiple complaints about a naked man playing a violin outside of the United States Courthouse in Portland, Oregon.

Surprisingly, the police warned Mglej several times before arresting him, which means he might have actually been one hell of violinist. But after receiving more complaints, police were forced to physically lift the man into the back of their squad car.

Not arresting Mglej immediately allowed onlookers to snap several photos of the incident and post them on Twitter:

Portland city code makes it unlawful “for a person to expose himself or herself in a public place or place visible from a public place, if the public place is open to people of the opposite sex.” We’re pretty sure the law that states that all employees, including police, must wash their hands before returning to work applies in this case as well.
